T.V in 2016 is all about God and religion but, not in a godly way. Most new series are taking a dark path and even those that have been around for a while are taking a turn in storytelling.
This does not mean that we have no good picks, they are plenty but, we are staying true to our style and giving you only the five best series so far!
Impastor (Season 1)
This is one that rings up a lot of laughs as a man on the brink of taking his own life gets an odd second chance.
From a drunken lying gambler to a pastor in a small town where everyone knows everyone and nothing stays hidden for long.
Season 2 comes out sometime next month. (September 28th)
The Preacher (Season 1)
AMC has built a reputation for itself as the channel and company that churns originality and enthralling shows. Their latest series – The Preacher is fast becoming another hit for them.
This is a company that counts Breaking Bad and Mad Men among its shows therefore, this new series about a Preacher with the power to literally turn you against your will is growing in both characters and story line.
Marvel’s Daredevil (Season 2)
No doubt one of the best superhero series on air at the moment and it has two advantages over its competitors; 1) it is from Marvel, the company that seems to do no wrong at the moment and 2) it is on Netflix therefore, you get it at once – not episode after another!
In this season, two new characters are introduced and believe us when we say, you will love the Punisher!
The other character is for you to find out in case you haven’t watched it and if you have, then we guess you already made up your opinions.
It was renewed for season 3 in July 2016 and could arrive in late 2017 or 2018 at latest.
Game of Thornes (Season 6)
Now we know that winter has come and hence, the story begins to unfold and in case you didn’t know, John Snow is elected King of the North while a lot happens in King’s Landing with Cersei destroying all before her.
The season that most fans couldn’t wait for turned out to be a less eventful one but still full of quality storytelling and character evolution.
The Good Wife (Season 7)
The final season of the legal drama marks the end to one of the most consistent TV shows in recent time.
Alicia Florrick & Co. had become a standard bearer of what and how a good series is written, acted and even though they kind of got to us at the end of Season 5 with the death of Will Gardner, we have come to believe it was for the better good.
In the end, this bittersweet moment really makes us yarn for something that can truly measure up to the standards the show has set and so far in the legal drama arena, none comes close – adiós!
Other worthy mentions;
Suits (Season 6)
Supernatural (Season 11)
Blackish (Season 2)
Orange is The New Black (Season 4)
Lucifer (Season 1)
