Sunderland vs. Arsenal

This weekend’s early kickoff will see the bottom side Sunderland entertain Arsenal at their home at Stadium of Light. Sunderland will be playing their 10th game of the league this season but, they are yet to get their first win. Moyes’ side suffered another late goal defeat last weekend to West Ham when Winston Reid scored in the last minute of the 4 added minutes to secure the win for the Hammers in that game.

Sunderland has suffered many late goals that has seen them register the worst Premier League start this season including the game against Crystal Palace where they led the game by two goals for 60 minutes but, lost 3-2 in 90 minutes. They are trying to come back but, I guess they also need a little bit of luck in some games if Moyes is to survive relegation this season.

Arsenal on the other hand came into last weekend as the favorites in their game against Middlesbrough but, the final result after the game was different. It could actually could have been worse judging by the poor display I watched in the game from the Gunners.

Middlesbrough were more unlucky than Arsenal that evening to have got only a draw, Arsenal travel to Sunderland this weekend with an opportunity to top the table with three points before teams like Liverpool and Manchester City can play but, I see Sunderland as a very complicated side for Arsenal to get three points from.

Arsenal may not lose the game but, it will be had for them to win. I am comfortable giving them a draw, Sunderland 2-2 Arsenal.

Manchester United vs. Burnley

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United will be in action again this weekend at home playing Burnley who are in 14th place with 10 points so far in 9 games. Burnley managed to get a win against Everton last week but, they face rather a much more solid team this weekend with much hunger to recover their winning ways in the League.

They face Manchester United who have not won in the League ever since they drew with Stoke City and Liverpool then lost to Chelsea 4-0 last weekend. Burnley comes to Old Trafford as a gift for them to recover and despite Burnley’s strong defending line, I think Man Utd will come out of this with a win. I will go Manchester United 3-0 Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Leicester City

My Premier League game of the weekend is scheduled to be played at White Hart Lane in London home of Tottenham Hotspur where they host Leicester City on Saturday. Tottenham is the only unbeaten team in the league this season and they have already played some of the big guns already like Manchester City and Liverpool.

They host Leicester who are not yet convincing this season but, have registered history already in Champions League. Leicester City managed to overcome Crystal Palace by 3-1 but, those three points could only push them to the 12th position still with a deficit of 4 goals. They travel to Spurs who have lately depreciated in their performance.

Pochettino’s men were on Tuesday eliminated from the English League Cup by Liverpool but, Spurs rested a few a players and I hope to see some of them return on this game but, either way, I don’t see Tottenham winning. Leicester for me has a stronger attacking force than that of Tottenham and I am debating whether this will be Tottenham’s first loss of the season.

If Leicester gets their cards right Tottenham will not survive, most probably a draw may come out of this but, I will choose an away win for this game, Tottenham 1-2 Leicester

Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool

Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp continue their trophy hunt this weekend, it’s very early to start talking about the trophy at this stage but, Liverpool needs to prove to us if this time they can keep their eyes on the top spot. This will be Liverpool’s 3rd game in just a space of 6 days having played West Bromwich last weekend and Tottenham midweek and they managed to win both games.

The only difference is they have been playing at home and now they have to travel to Selhurst Park home of Crystal Palace and meet the likes of Christian Benteke who left Anfield at beginning of the season with little success and my experience with such players they always want to prove a point to their former clubs and this Belgian international’s strength is Liverpool’s weakness.

Liverpool continue to struggle with set pieces and Benteke’s strength in the air is likely to cost them. The Reds advantage in this is having rested some players like Lallana, Lovren, Mane, Coutinho and Firmino on Tuesday against Tottenham, Palace will fight hard as it has been under Allan Pardew’s control but, I see Liverpool passing this test again, I will go for an away win, Crystal Palace 1-3 Liverpool

West Bromwich vs. Manchester City

West Bromwich host disgruntled Guardiola’s men this weekend. Manchester City has experienced a bad spell of three weeks without seeing a win, they travel to West Bromwich who lost to Liverpool last weekend but, managed to score a goal at Anfield.

They may get another goal against Manchester City but, I doubt they will get a point. Manchester City is by far prepared to end their dry season of not scoring goals, Sergio Agüero was brought in on Wednesday to help City overcome the Untied loss but, it was too late.

My eyes now are the young Nigerian International Kelechi Iheanacho who has proved to be more deadly than most of City’s celebrated players and I think Guardiola is noticing his abilities and I am seeing Iheanacho starting this game at center with Sterling and Nolito in the wings.

I don’t see West Bromwich resisting for 90 minutes, it’s a must win for City. I will go for West Bromwich 0-3 Manchester City.

Middlesbrough vs. AFC Bournemouth

Middlesbrough host Bournemouth this weekend with both teams experiencing some good run of form but, Bournemouth has been more reliable of late. Bournemouth have not lost any game in their last four games including a win against Everton and a draw against Tottenham last weekend. They visit Middlesbrough who are just one position above the relegation zone but, also managed to get an away point against Arsenal last weekend.

Middlesbrough is playing at home this weekend and they will want to stage up a very hard atmosphere for Bournemouth to come here and win but, also you can’t rule them out with their current form, I see a draw in this and I will go for Middlesbrough 2-2 AFC Bournemouth

Watford vs. Hull City

Watford drew their last game away to Swansea but, this weekend they host Hull City who have 14 goals deficit this season and have only managed to collect 7 points in 9 games played so far.

Watford on the side has been enterprising in the way they play including their home 3-1 win against Manchester United last month and they are now in 9th position with 12 points and I am sure they will want to use this home advantage against this struggling Hull City side.

I will go for the home side to win this but, it won’t be an easy one, Watford 2-1 Hull City

Everton vs. West Ham United

Everton play at home this weekend on Sunday after losing their last game to Burnley last weekend by 2-1, but, they have had a good run before and a loss to Burnley was a surprise.

They host West Ham this weekend who are picking up from the latest League Cup win against Chelsea on Wednesday and they have welcomed a few players like Ayew from long injuries which may not be good news for Everton, but, despite West Hams’ positives, my take is on Everton this weekend because of their dual attacking force of Lukaku and Bolaise who are both physically strong and West Ham defense will find a hard time defending against these two.

I go for Everton 3-1 West Ham.

Southampton vs. Chelsea

Southampton managed to get a 1-1 draw against Manchester City last weekend. They host Chelsea on Sunday who managed to see 4 goals passed Manchester United’s’ defense last weekend but, also fell short of ideas on Wednesday when they traveled to West Ham to book themselves a place in the League Cup quarter finals.

Southampton take on the problems caused by West Ham because, Chelsea will not want to lose again. Southampton has been on a good form recently, they managed to eliminate Sunderland in the League Cup by only one goal but, this kind of performance in not convincing enough against an army like the one for Chelsea.

It will be another hard game this weekend but, I think Chelsea will come on top of it, Southampton 0-2 Chelsea.

Stoke City vs. Swansea City

The only Monday Night Football game in the Premier League next week will be played at Bet365 Stadium home of Stoke City as they hope to secure their third winning game in a row.

Stoke has not lost a game in the last four games which included a 1-1 draw against Manchester United and two wins over Hull City and Sunderland, they host Swansea this weekend who have worked hard in their recent fixtures but, have not registered any positive results.

Swansea managed to get a draw against Watford last weekend but, I think it’s time I trusted them to get three points. Stoke is not easy at all playing against at home but, Swansea needs this game like a Champions League final therefore, I am choosing Swansea as my surprise win of the weekend as they travel away against Stoke.

Stoke City 1-2 Swansea City
