Manchester City vs. Middlesbrough

Manchester City is at home this weekend against Middlesbrough as they look to earn their third consecutive win in just one week. City managed to beat West Bromwich 4-0 away last week but, that was not a surprise at all, their 3-1 win against Spanish giants Barcelona on Tuesday night in Champions League has been a top headline in many media houses across the world and that result makes you feel sorry for any team now travelling to Etihad Stadium.

We have seen teams like Everton and Southampton come here and frustrate this Man City team but, I don’t think Middlesbrough is strong enough to cause them to loose track. I am concerned about how much energy they used to overcome Barcelona and some of them may be a little bit tired, but, they have one of the best managers in Guardiola and he will definitely take care of that.

We are likely to see some key players play few minutes in the game to maintain their fitness, but, all in all, I see Manchester City comfortably winning this, Manchester City 3-1 Middlesbrough.

Chelsea vs. Everton

Another interesting fixture this weekend is scheduled to kick off at 08:30 pm, Ugandan time at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea is hosting Everton.

Both Chelsea and Everton have no engagements in European football this season so they had a full week to rest their players and this will be surely an interesting game. Chelsea played Southampton away and managed to win by 2 goals thanks to Eden Hazard and Diego Costa and those were the major highlights in that game.

Everton on the hand welcomed West Ham at home and they also managed to win by 2 goals to nil, both goals came in second from Lukaku and Barkley in 50th and 76th minute respectively. This Everton side has managed to secure draws against big teams like Manchester City this season and Chelsea will be their ultimate test this season.

One can some surprises from this Merseyside team and I have so far personally been impressed by the combination of Lukaku and Bolasie. As you may know, such players fancy shining on such big teams and Chelsea cannot take anything for granted. It will be a hard game for sure and I predict the Blues losing points despite their recent form, Chelsea 2-2 Everton.

West Ham United vs. Stoke City

West Ham will be hosting Stoke City this weekend who have not lost any game in their last five games.

Here is the order of those last five games, Stoke City drew at home against West Bromwich, then drew away at Manchester United and won their next three fixtures that they had against, Sunderland (home game), Hull City (away game) and Swansea at home on Monday.

They visit West Ham this weekend who lost to Everton in their last fixture but, had also lost to Chelsea a week before.

It’s a tricky weekend for them facing a Stoke City side whose form has been good. Stoke City’s new signing from Manchester City Winfred Bony scored his first goals for Stoke on Monday with an assist by the former Liverpool man Joe Allen.

I see Bony scoring in this and if West Ham is not keen enough, it could be possible for Stoke to travel to London Stadium and get a win but, I will go for a draw, West Ham 2-2 Stoke City

AFC Bournemouth vs. Sunderland

Bournemouth host Sunderland this weekend but, both teams lost their previous games last weekend.

Bournemouth lost to Middleborough 2-0 and Sunderland lost to Arsenal 4-1.

Sunderland is still in the hunt for their first win of the season, out of 10 games played so far, they have only two points and the earlier they wake up, the better. They visit Bournemouth this weekend who are stubborn but, they need to beat teams like these if they are to survive relegation this season.

Sunderland still has a few players like Borini, Larson and Cattermole ruled out due injuries but, every team goes through such a time therefore, Sunderland must come out and start winning games.

Sunderland has not scored an away goal in the last three games away but, I want to give Sunderland a benefit of doubt. It’s possible for them to go to Vitality Stadium home of Bournemouth and get a win, Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland.

Burnley vs. Crystal Palace

Burnley this season is known for the mental and physical strength in their defense. Manchester United got their full taste of this last weekend when they drew with Burnley 0-0 at Old Trafford.

It tool Arsenal 94 minutes to score one goal against this team and Liverpool was beaten 2-0 by this Burnley team.

Crystal Palace is good in front of goal with the likes of Benteke but, this Burnley is organized and have got their cards right on how best to beat teams on a break.

Crystal Palace lost to Liverpool last week conceding 4 goals but, that was Liverpool, Burnley may not score 4 goals but, they can frustrate this Crystal Palace team.

It is tricky to choose who will win this, both teams are likely to score but, not many goals from the visiting team, I will go for a draw in this, Burnley 1-1 Crystal Palace

Arsenal vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal is at home this weekend playing the only unbeaten team so far in the League which makes this my Premier League game of the weekend.

I see Arsenal with a very big chance of bringing Tottenham’s unbeaten run to an end this weekend if all goes well.

Tottenham has not won a game in the last five games. They lost to Liverpool in the League Cup and also lost to Bayer Leverkusen mid-week in Champions League where they displayed a very poor performance, however, a major League fixture is the difference here and Arsenal being a Derby game, you can’t rule them out.

They played very well against Leicester last weekend but, could not win and they had to settle for 1-1 draw, on the other side, Arsenal has drawn once in their last five games and won four.

They have scored 15 goals in those last five games and conceded only 6 goals. They host Tottenham whose scoring habit is appalling, I see only one approach Pochettino can deploy to overcome this Arsenal side.

The approach Middleborough came with at Emirates and got them a 1-1 draw and so did Burnley but, they were unlucky to lose 1-0.

Spurs will need to build a very solid defense side that must concentrate at all times and wait for any chance to come their way to its fullest.

Tottenham that way can still get a draw as they have done in their last two visits at Emirates, I will go for Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham.

Liverpool vs. Watford

Liverpool host Watford this weekend on Sunday hoping to maintain their chase of the top spot against Arsenal and Manchester City.

Liverpool managed to win against Crystal Palace last weekend in a game that saw 6 goals scored, 5 of the goals coming in first half alone.

Liverpool continue to struggle in their defense and mainly with set pieces.

Crystal Palace managed to come from behind twice to make it 1-1 and 2-2 but, could not recover from Matip’s 44th header and Roberto Firmino scored the only goal in second half for Liverpool to make it 4-2.

Watford visits such a team that is dangerous against any team when attacking with a very a average performance, Watford has only scored 5 goals in their last 5 games and conceded 4 goals which is going build on to score even more, one thing Liverpool is keen about is efficiency in their defense.

They have mastered the art of getting goals but, their defense has got some job to do and I don’t think the manager is sleeping over this.

Watford may not get a goal in this, I am going for a total humiliation of the visitors. Liverpool 5-0 Watford.

Swansea City vs. Manchester United

Swansea currently sit in the second last position on the table with 5 points from 10 games played so far and they have already replaced their manager to try and improve their performance but, that has not changed ever since their new manager Bob Bradley arrived at Liberty Stadium.

Hoping to recover, Swansea City host struggling Manchester United who lost their last Europa League game in Turkey against Fenerbahçe but, had also failed to beat Burnley last weekend the game that ended 0-0.

It’s very tricky to trust United to win these days having in mind that Mourinho will watch this game from the stands serving his one match ban over his conduct on touch line on the Burnley game, but, despite all these challenges facing the United team, I am giving them a win because of the character of their coach and the experience of the players they have.

Ibrahimović and Pogba can get you a win in such hard times but, it will be a very hard game, Swansea City 1-3 Manchester United

Leicester City vs. West Bromwich Albion

Leicester City is at home this weekend against Bromwich Albion who are not doing well currently.

Leicester drew their last two games against Spurs and Champions league game against København.

Leicester is fighting too hard to regain their position in the Premier League as defending champions but, the start of the League was not good at all, but, of recent they have really done well and I had tipped them to win against Spurs last weekend but, got only a draw.

They are at home this weekend and West Bromwich will do much to harm them but, I think they have recovered and West Bromwich will lose this, Leicester City 3-1 West Bromwich Albion

Hull City vs. Southampton

Hull City is hosting Southampton this Sunday but, they not in a good situation. Hull City has a list of seven players ruled out due to injuries and one more serving a red card ban.

They have lost all their last four Premier Games among which they conceded 6 goals in one game.

It’s not a good time for Hull City to be hosting a team like Southampton who are doing fairly well in Europa League having beaten Italian giants Inter Milan 2-1 on Thursday but, they lost to Chelsea in the League last weekend.

Southampton will want to return to their winning form but, also Hull City is keen to avoid an early season relegation battle, I see this ending into a draw both teams playing with much awareness, Hull City 1-1 Southampton
