Burnley vs. Manchester City

This weekend’s early kick off will see Manchester City travel Burnley at Turf Moor Stadium on Saturday afternoon with Manchester City hoping to go top of the table before Chelsea and Liverpool play.

City won 2-1 against Crystal Palace last weekend with Yaya Toure scoring both goals in first and second half but, despite this excellent display, Yaya was not named in the Champions League squad that traveled to Germany mid-week. I guess City coach will now field him in this fixture to try and reduce on the fatigue City players may have.

Burnley lost 4-0 to West Bromwich last weekend in a game I had thought Burnley would stage a good fight but, that wasn’t the case. It was rather disappointing but, I guess they came with a wrong approach, they thought it was possible to visit West Bromwich and get win which likely exposed them even more instead sticking to what Sean Dyche, the Burnley coach does best.

Burnley’s strength is in defense and if anything is to happen from this game for them Burnley must capitalize on it which I think is possible and being an early kickoff fixture, surprises come in early and the more reason I am giving Burnley a point out of this, Burnley 0-0 Manchester City.

Liverpool vs. Sunderland

Liverpool traveled to Southampton last weekend where both teams failed to score in a game that ended 0-0 but, they are playing at home this weekend against Sunderland who are picking up to try and fight relegation.

Sunderland has only won two games this this season and these two games are their last two fixtures against Bournemouth (away) and Hull City at home consecutively.

They come to Anfield this weekend to face the Liverpool army that failed to break Southampton last weekend and now Sunderland is their next test if they are to stay on the title chase.

The record of Sunderland visiting Anfield hasn’t been good for the Liverpool side but, this is totally a different Liverpool side.

In the last three visits, Liverpool has only won once and drawn twice but, having lost two points last weekend, the Reds won’t take any chances in this game.

I see Liverpool coming back to their winning ways but, of course it will a hard earned win, Liverpool 4-0 Sunderland.

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur

It’s the last Premier League fixture on Saturday evening and both Liverpool and Manchester will be on top of Chelsea by the time Chelsea plays if they manage to win their games.

Chelsea will be hosting Tottenham Hotspur, the only unbeaten team so far even after playing teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. Tottenham have a big chance to extend their unbeaten run but also the same amount of excitement is expect from the opponent side to stop this unbeaten run.

My only worry with Tottenham is failing to score but, Kane is back and he is improving every time I see him play. Tottenham visit Chelsea who are so very good with their new system of play, Conte’s players have finally adapted to 3—4—3 formation that has seen them go 6 games in the League without conceding any goal, you wonder whether Tottenham is going to bring this to and end but, also the entire Chelsea team is currently blending very and with the quality of players like Hazard, Costa and Victor Moses.

I see Tottenham having a huge challenge ahead of them this weekend but, they are the only unbeaten team and that alone makes them earn my respect despite them displaying poor performance in the Champions League, I will go for a draw of Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester City vs. Middlesbrough

Leicester City continued to struggle last weekend when they traveled away to visit Watford and they were beaten 2-1 and before that, they were beaten by West Bromwich at King Power Stadium.

Middlesbrough comes in the calculation this weekend, Middlesbrough has been doing well with only one loss in their last for games and this one loss came last weekend when they hosted Chelsea and lost 0-1.

I think it is still possible for Middlesbrough to visit King Power and get a point but, you also worry for the for the defending Champions who are currently in 14th position and this win could lift them a bit higher, with the home advantage in mind, I am going to give Leicester City to win this but, I won’t be surprised if Middlesbrough caused them some trouble. Leicester City 3-2 Middlesbrough

Hull City vs. West Bromwich

Hull City host West Bromwich this Saturday with hopes to win and move away from the relegation zone after losing to Sunderland last weekend.

Hull City is 18th on the table with 10 points, it’s surprising that a win of just additional three points can move them to the 13th position where Stoke is currently is with 13 points.

West Bromwich on the other side has been in decent form recently and it is not surprising that they are in 10th on the table at the moment.

They visit Hull City this weekend in a battle that will not be easy for them to win but, I still see them as favorites, West Bromwich managed to win on a visit to Leicester City and they beat Burnley 4-0 last weekend. They have one main player Nacer Chadli ruled out whereas Hull City has over six players sidelined, the more reason Hull City will continue to struggle even at home as they host West Bromwich. Hull City 1-2 West Bromwich

Swansea City vs. Crystal Palace

Swansea City’s new coach Bob Bradley is still looking for his first win with the club after being brought in to help save the club from relegation.

This hasn’t been the case, Swansea has struggled even more after the new American coach was brought in but, you want to think he is about to get his break after getting an away point of 1-1 draw against Everton last week.

The Swans host Crystal Palace at Liberty Stadium who have not won any game in their last five games with the last one being a 2-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend. Alan Pardew, Crystal Palace’s coach is equally in the same dilemma as Swansea’s coach and this will be a tight game.

I still think Swansea will have to wait a little bit longer because, even this weekend will be another hard one, I am actually tipping Crystal Palace to win this. My surprise away win of the weekend is at Liberty Stadium and Benteke to score, Swansea City 1-2 Crystal Palace

Arsenal vs. AFC Bournemouth

Arsenal Host Bournemouth this week end at Emirates Stadium hoping they can keep pressure on the three teams above them.

Arsenal are in 4th position with 25 points behind Manchester City and Liverpool who are in 3rd and 2nd positions. The Gunners managed to get a point last weekend from a tight fixture against Manchester United but, they also drew mid-week in Champions League against PSG and that game made 3 games in row for Arsenal going without a win.

Hosting Bournemouth is a big opportunity for Arsenal to boost their belief and start another winning chapter as we head for the crucial famous Christmas fixtures that are always scheduled in festive season, Bournemouth has been good on some occasions and seemed to be scoring goals from all angles but, they have also been disappointing on some occasions and Arsenal will have no mercy to punish them if they don’t act maturely in this game. Bournemouth also is one team that can surprise you and Arsenal’s performance these days hasn’t been promising at all, you see them play and think they are likely to lose a game soon but, I can’t tell whether its tomorrow’s game against Bournemouth or not, I am going for an Arsenal win but, with deep reservations in mind and I won’t be surprised if it goes either way, Arsenal 2-1 AFC Bournemouth.

Manchester United vs. West Ham United

Manchester United play on Sunday this weekend at home against West Ham United at 07:30pm EAT.

United is still not convincing as well, they are good one day and you get disappointed on another day but, they welcome Ibrahimović back after missing the Arsenal game last weekend on yellow cards suspension and this will greatly improve the United who are number 6 on the table with 9 points behind the table leaders, Chelsea.

Any loss of points now will become more disastrous. West Ham United on the side has struggled a lot since the beginning of the season, they have only accumulated 11 points in 12 games played so far and that makes them 4th last team on the table, they are fighting relegation battle with the likes of Swansea, Sunderland and Hull City.

They have good players but somehow results do not go their way, players like Payet, Ayew and Antonio, I know and believe they have the individual brilliance to change the game and it is even better when the all work together.

Therefore, this is a game that can produce goals for the visitors hence, an enjoyable game but, still the best they can get maybe a draw but, with many goals. Manchester United 2-2 West Ham United.

Southampton vs. Everton

Southampton host Everton this Sunday with a fresh memory of their good performance exhibited last weekend against Liverpool, Southampton managed to get a well-earned point against Liverpool last weekend and hosting Everton this weekend is another trial.

Some of us would want to know whether it was just Southampton’s good day in office or whether they really deserved a point against Liverpool last weekend, Everton started the league on a good note but, their latest performance hasn’t been good at all ever since they conceded 5 goals against Chelsea and then failed to win a home fixture against Swansea last weekend.

They are away against a team with one of the best back line in the League, I guess Lukaku will again be frustrated with the likes of Bertrand & Virgil and I don’t really see Everton achieving much in this, the best they can get is a draw and the most possible result I can think of, I will go for Southampton 1-1 Everton.

Watford vs. Stoke City

Watford had a very good come back last weekend after a horrible result at Liverpool when they were beaten 6-1 the prior weekend but, they managed win against Leicester City 2-1 last weekend.

They are now at home against Stoke City who lost at home last weekend to Bournemouth by just one goal. Stoke City looks good on paper with players like Winfred Bony and former Liverpool’s Joe Allen but, you wonder why things are not turning out well for them.

They are just three points ahead of the relegation zone and another loss in a row will cause them more problems, I think Stoke will do everything they can at least to get a point out of this but, Watford striking line headed by the Nigerian international Odion Jude Ighalo who has to be taken care of first before they can think of a point, I will go for a draw in this, Watford 1-1 Stoke City.
